Gingers Cupboard Tucks that I Made......

Aren't these just the cutest? They are made from a pattern from Crows Roost Prims....I love their sweet faces and icing. I used a matching fabric for the arms and rusty pinned them on since I ran out of coffee/color wash and was too lazy to match the color to the bodies...I like it even better that way. They were sprinkled with cinnamon and baked and boy do they smell good (I loaded them with cinnamon mostly on their backs and sprinkled some on their tummies). I handstitched the eyes, nose, mouth and buttons with black and brown floss; one has indented eyes, the other criss-crosse stitching. I have 12 more almost done for my show next weekend. I attached sweet annie with red berries, rusty bells and dyed cheescloth. You won't be disappointed with this adorable pattern!!

Apple Cinnamon Ornaments

Check out this cute recipe for deliciously scented Apple Cinnamon ornaments
I found it by way of one of my favorite blogs: Just Something I Made
She even made a cool handbag from two shirts. I've been looking at clothing in different ways lately....There are so many ideas out there! I've recently purchased some old wool men's jackets, women's wool sweaters/vests just for the yummy wool and all those prim projects. Does anyone know how to clean and get rid of the critters which may be lurking in these wool garments? All I know is not to wash them in hot water and not to dry them...other than that I don't know what soap to use, etc. Any ideas would be welcomed.
Thanks! Patti

Halloweeny Stuff....

Here's what I've made lately.....country candle ghosties, They're 8 inches tall including the silicone bulb. I painted black silicone for the eyes & mouth and tied a halloween fabric strip around the body. There's an on/off switch too. I think that they came out so spooktacular! I forgot to take a pic of the bunch of them before putting them in my booth.
I've also made some jack-o-lantern tealights...made from acrylic paint-n-modge podge, and large baby food jars. I painted the tealight a green color like a stem. I made 8 different faces and the lanterns twinkle nicely when lit.
